Family & Community Engagement

At Corpus Christi, we are proactive in building relationships with our school and the wider community. We strive to foster and develop positive relationships with our families by making our school a welcoming place for all.

Why is family engagement important in schools?

Ongoing research shows that family engagement in schools improves student achievement, reduces absenteeism, and restores parents’ confidence in their children’s education. We recognise that learning happens both in the home and at school and partnering with families improves students’ academic achievement, academic behaviour, and social-behavioural competency. Families who feel they are working in partnership with their child’s school will be more likely to engage in practices to support learning at home

We support two-way, positive communication and provide updates about learning through the Storypark app where we post fortnightly learning intentions, termly overviews and photos of student learning in action.

Fundraising – Parent’s Association

The Corpus Christi Parent’s Association plays a key role in our fundraising efforts. They help coordinate:

– Family BBQ evenings

– Annual Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events

– Special food days for students

– Easter and Christmas raffles

We welcome new members anytime and usually meet on site twice a term during school hours. If you are interested in joining or would like more information please email
